We have gotten a little behind on recognizing our be kind challenge winners! Week 2's winner was Kiley Burton and week 3's winner was Presley White. The winner of this week's be kind challenge is Hollis Helms. We are building a culture of kindness! Thank you to these bears for going the extra mile to show kindness to our bear family.
We are so proud of Westover Reader, Mia Blackburn, for reading one million words and being the first member of the million word club! Mia has been a top reader for the past couple of school years and is only in the 6th grade. We are so proud of you Mia, keep up the great work!

Thank you to everyone who shared out the info about our water drive and big thanks to those who donated! Your generosity loaded up Mrs. Natalie's truck with over 1200 bottles of water to be dropped off this afternoon!! It definitely is a great day to be a Bear!!
Our 2nd graders enjoyed a field trip to Casey Jones Village and Museum yesterday as the culminating activity to their unit on tall tales. They learned about Casey Jones and trains and had a great time!
October 2nd is Custodian Appreciation Day, and Westover has 3 of the best! Please take a moment and comment on each person's slide and tell them how much we appreciate them at Westover. Thank you ALL for ALL you do for our school.
Student Ambassadors are collecting hygiene products, socks, and feminine products for the Henderson County Homeless Coalition and Westover Elementary from October 1 to November 15. Please contact Mrs. Campbell or Mrs. Abraham with any questions. Thank you!

CAPS FOR CANCER! Friday, October 4th, we will raise money for our own Mrs. Lora Keen who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Bring a dollar and wear a cap at school all day. Mrs. Lora, your bear family loves you and is thinking of you as fight this awful disease.
