Tonight is the night! Our PTO Lil' Bears Basketball and Cheerleading program kick off their season tonight!
Basketball players need to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the game in their NEW First Bank shirts, shorts, and athletic shoes. Please bring something for your child to drink. Please help your player find their coach so they can get their jersey on and begin warming up. Please make sure you return those after each game. Jerseys belong to the PTO so we want to make sure those stay at the school.
Cheerleaders need to arrive 10-15 minutes early in their First Bank shirts, shorts or leggings, and athletic shoes. Please bring them something to drink as well. Please look for your cheerleader's sponsor over in the right far corner of the gym. The cheer poms will be given out upon arrival. Please make sure the cheerleaders leave those after each game.
We would like to thank FIRST BANK OF LEXINGTON for sponsoring our Lil' Bears Program as well as tonight's half time games sponsor Zaxby's! Please make sure you thank these local businesses for pouring their resources into our children's programs as Westover!

Our Christmas Sing-a-long was a huge success! Thank you all for coming and supporting our backpack program. Merry Christmas from Westover!

On Wednesday our Student Council coordinated and carried out our version of Reindeer Games. They also led a Christmas read-a-loud with our littles and coordinated a craft for them. We are so proud of our student leaders.

Our 6th grade has been super busy over the last 2 months. We have collected over 300 canned goods and distributed them among the Blessing Boxes around our little city, we partnered with Sand Ridge Baptist Church and donated 18 Operation Christmas Child boxes to be shipped out, and we ended this nine weeks with a “cookie math” celebration. We incorporated our math skills and then ended with a cookie exchange and cookie contest. Our winners for this contest are as follows: 1st place: Evan Cupples, 2nd place: Emma Usery, and 3rd place: Dalton Byrd (not pictured). Thank you staff, students, and families that allowed us to help our community and enjoy cookies over the holiday season!

Westover's very own elf waved to families as they left school today!
