“ One student's love of History earns unheard-of invitation to lobby for Veterans rights at the Capitol in Nashville."
One of our students, Wyatt Fields, was invited to go to our state's capital for Veteran's Day on the Hill. He was asked to help be a visual representation of the veterans from the past. Wyatt, an avid reenactor, attended portraying a World War II U.S. paratrooper from the 101st airborne division. Wyatt was allowed to attend some meetings on legislation being proposed to help our veterans, and talked with Representatives. He also had the great honor of talking to and having his picture made with our Governor Bill Lee.

Our 6th grade just completed the 10-week DARE program. They held their graduation ceremony today. Deputy Tracy Pearson spoke about the program she held over the 10 weeks. Our SRO Jeremy Russell presented the certificates to the students. Our guest speaker was Captain Tracey Grisham.
As part of their graduation, they were required to write an essay about what they learned during the program. Tanlee Kelley and Gavin Clark were the winners.
We are very proud of these students. We would like to thank Mr. Marty for allowing this program to take place.
