Kindergarten supplies may be dropped off to the classroom at our back to school bash if you would like to do so. Please label all supplies with your child's name.
Kindergarten students will get calendars for staggered enrollment at our back to school bash. We are excited to meet our new little Mustangs!
Back to School Night
All children who will be four (4) years old on or before August 15, 2024, are eligible to apply for PreK for the 2024-2025 school year.
Requested documents to bring when completing an application:
-Proof of Income (ex: check stub, income tax return, public assistance case, etc.)
-Proof of age such as birth certificate, other medical documents
-Social Security Card
-Proof of Immunizations on a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization form from the Health Department or a Physician’s office
-Copy of Physical Examination (within 1 calendar year)
-Two (2) Proofs of County Residence (E911 address) (ex: electric bill, water bill, etc.)

Voluntary PreK (VPK) is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify. Completing the Henderson County PreK application packet does not necessarily guarantee enrollment in the PreK program. Non-income eligible students are placed on a waiting list once all paperwork is complete. Once all qualifying students are placed, non-income eligible students will receive notice informing them of their status after the beginning of school, per the VPK grant guidelines.

South Henderson County Youth Football and Cheer
We will have our final sign-up day next Saturday (6/29) at 5pm @ the field. We will also be having cheer sign-ups at the same time. We will have a brief meeting right after sign-ups.
Any player or cheerleader who will not be able to attend the meeting next Saturday, please send us a message on the page to ensure they get signed-up.
Online registration for new students and online verification for returning students is now open.
New students in the Henderson County School District should visit the Henderson County Board of Education to complete the online registration. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment, so someone can assist you. 731-249-1212
For new student registrations, please bring a birth certificate, social security card, updated immunization records, including a recent physical examination, as well as two proofs of residency.
Returning students in the Henderson County School District can now update and/or verify current information associated with your child through ParentVUE. This step is critical to ensure that parent information is correct in the system in order that all communication through Rooms, texts, emails, and phone calls efficiently reaches our parents.

The Henderson County Board of Education office hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.They will be closed tomorrow, June 19th for the Juneteenth Holiday.
Yesterday, we honored Mrs. Sherry Grice for her hard work and dedication to our school the last 46 years. She has touched so many lives during her teaching career. We are going to miss her terribly. Happy retirement, Mrs. Sherry! Enjoy every minute!
