Scotts Hill High School FBLA had a successful trip to the State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga. Students attending: Seniors: Ian Patterson, Joselyn Marin; Juniors: Tracy Brewer, Mayce Hughes, Bella Jones, Cooper Liles, Hannah Redding; Sophomores: Haven Barnickel, Trevor Johnson, Addison McBride. We had 7 out of 10 students place in the top 8. I am so Proud of the students for their willingness to participate, network with other students, and make this a great experience.
Scotts Hill High School Golf is hosting its annual 4-man Scramble on May 2, 2026, at the Tennessee River Golf Course. Please get your favorite golfing buddies together and join us for a day of golfing fun.

Our Algebra I team earned 2nd place! Team members included Joe Berry, Hade West Britt, Kensley Broadway, Cristian Carvajal, Lilly Etheridge, Trevor Stanford, and Chris Utley. Two Algebra I students scored in the Top 10—Cristian Carvajal earned 3rd place, and Joe Berry earned 7th place.
Our Geometry team also earned 2nd place! Team members included Kobe Buckley, Brody Eason, Kara Holt, Emmaleigh Murdock, Bentley Pearcy, and Silas Puckett. Emmaleigh Murdock placed 5th overall.
While we did not have enough students to form an Algebra II team, Weston Hayes and Cooper Pettay competed individually. Weston Hayes earned 5th place overall.
Competing in Calculus, Connor Foster earned an impressive 2nd place finish!
We are so proud of all of these students for their hard work and dedication to mathematics. Way to represent SHHS!

SHHS freshman Wyatt Fields and his father, Mike Fields, were recently featured on WBBJ promoting the upcoming TN River Rendezvous in Saltillo this Saturday, April 11.
This exciting event will showcase living history from the founding of our country through the Vietnam era, while also celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a fireworks show on Saturday evening.
We are proud to see our students and families involved in community events that bring history to life!

Our Nutrition, Human Studies, and FCCLA members have been hard at work over the past several weeks in the food lab! Students have demonstrated their culinary skills by preparing family meals, creating snacks for athletes, showcasing their talents during 8th Grade Day, and even learning alongside our favorite guest chef—not once, but twice this past month.
A special thank you to our principal, Dr. Norton—also known as our favorite guest chef! We hope you enjoyed teaching in our food lab as much as our students enjoyed the delicious cinnamon rolls you made together. It's good to be at THE HILL!

Mrs. Taylor’s Life Skills class took a hands-on field trip to Walmart to practice grocery shopping on a budget. Students learned to compare prices, make smart choices, and select healthy ingredients. After shopping, they returned to school to cook a delicious meal, putting their new skills into action. It was a fun and educational experience in both budgeting and cooking!
Our football team is running a laundry detergent fundraiser. This is a simple way to support our players and stock up on something we all use.
