Congratulations to our SHHS Teacher of the Year, Nathan Reeves!
Mr. Reeves returned to school at the age of 45 to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a high school history teacher. A proud 1991 graduate of Lexington High School, he went on to earn his Associate’s degree from Jackson State Community College and both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Dedicated to lifelong learning, Mr. Reeves plans to continue his education next year by pursuing an Ed.S. in Leadership.
He joined Scotts Hill High School in August 2023, bringing his passion for history and a commitment to positively impacting his students. Known for his uplifting classroom motto, “Some of you will go to college, some to trade school, some to work, but every one of you will go on to life!” Mr. Reeves strives to be a transformative influence on every student he teaches.
We are proud to celebrate Mr. Reeves and his dedication to education and to the lives of our students. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

SHHS FFA Parli Pro team placed 2nd in the region and will continue on to compete in the state contest in March. Students who compete in this LDE learn how to conduct an orderly meeting and develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. This team has worked hard to make it this far and we are extremely proud of them!
