Come out tonight for our Literacy Night. We will have lots of fun activities, training on how to read standard test in order to help your child continue to be successful in the classroom, revisit the 3rd grade promotion law, tour the HC STEM bus, join in a our story walk, visit the book fair, and much more. Can't wait to see everyone there!!
✂️PRE-K Registration ✏️
All children who will be four (4) years old on or before August 15, 2025 are eligible to apply for PreK for the 2025-2026 school year.
Pre-registration for Pre-K in the Henderson County School District will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Bargerton, Beaver, Pin Oak, Scotts Hill, South Haven, South Side, and Westover Elementary Schools.
Requested documents to bring when completing an application:
-Proof of Income (ex: check stub, income tax return, public assistance case, etc.)
-Proof of age such as birth certificate, other medical documents
-Social Security Card
-Proof of Immunizations on a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization form from the Health Department or a Physician’s office
-Copy of Physical Examination (within 1 calendar year)
-Two (2) Proofs of County Residence (E911 address) (ex: electric bill, water bill, etc.)

Voluntary PreK (VPK) is an income-based program and priority will be given to those families that qualify. Completing the Henderson County PreK application packet does not guarantee enrollment in the PreK program. Non-income eligible students are placed on a waiting list once all paperwork is complete. Per the VPK grant guidelines, non-income eligible students will be notified mid-September informing them of their waitlist status.

In honor of School Board Appreciation Week, We would like to recognize Mr. Michael Tate . Thank you for all that you do for Beaver School.
Beaver Hornets played with heart, guts, and determination from the get go, but lost in the Semifinals of the James C Haile tournament 32-29 to Lobelville.
Coach Jen and Coach Cordaro couldn’t be prouder of their effort tonight.
This special group of players each walked away with the Henderson County Championships this season and played against some of the elite teams in Tennessee.

Little Hornets basketball and cheer has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 4th starting at 5:30.
Due to a significant number of students and staff being affected by illness, the Henderson County School District will be closed beginning Wednesday, January 29, Thursday, January 30, and Friday, January 31, to help combat the ongoing health concerns. School will resume on Monday, February 3. Again, this will begin tomorrow morning. All scheduled events for this afternoon and tonight, Tuesday, January 28th, will proceed as scheduled.
We understand how disruptive this is, but with such a large number of absences, it’s necessary to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff. We encourage everyone to rest, recover, and take the necessary health precautions during this time.

Varsity Boys play in their 2nd game of the state tournament tonight at Middle Tennessee Christian School in Murfreesboro. Game time is 6:30 pm in the Varsity Gym.
