Help us welcome our new PE Teacher, Mr. Mitchell.
My name is Daniel Mitchell. This is my 10th year of teaching PE. After graduation from MTSU in 2013 with a degree in PE, I went back to get my masters degree in administration in 2020. I previously taught in Nashville for 8 years, before moving to Lexington in 2022.
My wife of 15 years is also a teacher. She currently teaches 2nd grade at Westover. We have 2 daughters (8th and 5th grade) who currently attend Westover as well. We also have 2 dogs who love to run around the yard chasing a frisbee any chance they get.
My goal is to teach children the physical skills they need to learn different activities/sports so that they can be healthy and active long after they leave my classes. It’s been a fantastic start at Beaver and I am looking forward to the rest of the year!

Congratulations to Devin Brown, Aviance Huddleston, JoJo Pritchard, McKenzi Volner, and Brelee Staten for being chosen for Henderson Co All Stars . We are so proud of you!

Completing the Henderson County PreK application packet does not necessarily guarantee enrollment in the PreK program. Non-income eligible students are placed on a waiting list once all paperwork is complete. Once all qualifying students are placed, non-income eligible students will receive a notice informing them of their status after the beginning of school, per the VPK grant guidelines.
