Ms. Veronica and Ms. Renee’s PreK is learning about life cycles. They are watching caterpillars turn into butterflies, have planted flowers, are growing grass, and germinating beans in our greenhouses. We are enjoying the flowers from SHHS FFA’s greenhouse! The kids are learning about all the things they might be able to plant one day in the greenhouses when they are older. 🌷🐛🌼🦋

Our reptile friend, Dobby, has been enjoying the weather lately. He is our bearded dragon that lives in the 4th grade as a class pet. Just look at him!!

A huge thank you to the Henderson County Fire Department, Ms. Amber Crawford, and Mr. Stanton Watts for coming to Scotts Hill today to teach the 2nd grade about fire safety! We love support from the community!

We had a great time learning about the solar eclipse and the effects it can have on UV rays!

Ms. Veronica's Pre-K loved the Solar Eclipse

In honor of the Solar Eclipse tomorrow... We will have HAT DAY!!!

Good luck on your marathon, Brad! Thank you to everyone for your bear donations for such a great cause! We are all behind you, Brad!

In Pre-K, we have been learning about Letter Qq this week. Ms. U can make works on her own like fun, sun, and run. However, Mr. Q needs Ms. U to form words like quiz, quit, and quarter. Mr. Q and Ms. U promise to stay together through quicksand, earthquakes, and during quiet times. Following our wedding, we had a reception and dance party. It will be a special day to remember.

Parents,
I am writing to let you know of a temporary change happening in your child’s 2nd-grade
classroom. Due to events beyond our control, we need to move Ms. Tina Crews to third grade
over the next few weeks. The class she will be working with is directly across the hall from your
child’s 2nd-grade classroom. This will allow Ms. Crews to monitor progress with her 2nd
graders while overseeing the third-grade classroom during these crucial weeks for that grade.
Ms. Leslie Bartholomew will be in your child’s second-grade classroom each day carrying on
with the daily routine. I have confidence in both of these ladies and know your child is in good
hands. Thank you for your understanding.

One of our favorite days of the year!! We love when 4th grade completes Treasure Island. We get to bring out our eye patches and celebrate with them!

We sure have some sweet kiddos!! Maleigha McCormick and Jaelyn Smith got creative and surprised Mr. Jon Mark Parrish with cell cakes for his birthday today!!

The solar eclipse gave us a great chance to enjoy the outdoors and spend more time in creative learning!

Ms. Kera's class had a great time traveling to Freed Hardeman for "Makin' Music 2024"

Not only is she the keeper of the books, she is SOOOO much more! Happy School Librarian Day to SHES's Sandy Scott!! #roar
