Today was a great day for students to be outside and make a difference at SHHS! FCCLA members organized the 2nd Annual Teen Dating Violence Awareness Walk-Out. This year, more than 250 students participated in the event “Break the Silence, End the Violence.” We hope students will have healthy dating relationships and recognize red flags because help is available. FCCLA would like to thank every student who walked out and made posters for our event. Congratulations to Isaiah Delcher and Jordan Smith! Isaiah won first place in the poster contest “Canva Creations” category, and Jordan placed first for “Most Poster Submissions!" Each of these students will be presented with a $20 Walmart Gift Card!

Big congratulations to Mason Hanna for passing the SDC American History Exam last semester. This exam only had 72 kids in the State of Tennessee to pass. Great job Mason and great job Mr. Reeves for getting him ready for the exam.

HC Schools - Closure Announcement
Henderson County Schools will be closed on Friday, February 21st, due to hazardous road conditions in several rural areas of the district. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Monday. Enjoy your weekend!
Due to continued hazardous road conditions and the closure of Henderson County Schools Thursday, 2/20, the District 13AA Tournament has been delayed for another day. Weather/road conditions permitting, the boys' games scheduled for tomorrow night will be played on Friday, 2/21. We will share the updated tournament brackets when the schedule is confirmed.
HC Schools- Closure Announcement
The Henderson County School District will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 20th. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and hope everyone stays warm and safe.
Due to the predicted snow accumulation and potential hazardous weather conditions, the school district will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th. In order to keep students engaged during the closure, teachers will be sending home practice activities today. Please encourage your child to complete this practice created by their teachers. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming students back once it is safe to do so.
