Pin Oak is excited to announce our PK-4th grade teacher of the year, Mrs. Chesney Weatherford.
My name is Chesney Weatherford. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from Freed-Hardeman University. This is my seventh year teaching, and my sixth year teaching second grade. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Joshua, and we have two children together - Nathan and Lily Claire. I love building relationships with my students and watching them grow, both in my classroom and in the years afterwards. I find so much joy in seeing them excited about learning and in helping them explore their interests and passions throughout the school year. My teaching philosophy is heavily influenced by a quote one of my professors often shared with me - "Children may forget what you say, but they will never forget how you make them feel."
