Lexington High School

Students and faculty at LHS were treated to an amazing performance by our special education students during the annual Special Education Talent Show on March 17.  Our Renaissance Team members hosted the show and judged each performance as our student body cheered each performer on. We had talent such as Adreonna Rice as Beyonce, Nicholas Slusher as Elton John, DJ McPeake performing "Get Up", and Nathaniel Whiting accompanying multiple performers on the keyboard. Riley Arthur performed Jingle Bells. We can't forget about the two intense battle scenes, the first from Star Wars performed by Nathan Little and Grayson Yarbro, and the second from Cobra Kai performed by Ben Taylor and Cooper Stanfill. Elliott Rogers ended the show by hyping up the crowd with his country song. Not surprisingly, each performance received a perfect score and all performers were recognized with a certificate at the end of the show. The Renaissance Team would like to give a special thank you to our Special Education teachers and paraprofessionals for helping the students rehearse and to our student body for being such an amazing and supportive crowd.
