Help us welcome our new PE Teacher, Mr. Mitchell. My name is Daniel Mitchell. This is my 10th year of teaching PE. After graduation from MTSU in 2013 with a degree in PE, I went back to get my masters degree in administration in 2020. I previously taught in Nashville for 8 years, before moving to Lexington in 2022. My wife of 15 years is also a teacher. She currently teaches 2nd grade at Westover. We have 2 daughters (8th and 5th grade) who currently attend Westover as well. We also have 2 dogs who love to run around the yard chasing a frisbee any chance they get. My goal is to teach children the physical skills they need to learn different activities/sports so that they can be healthy and active long after they leave my classes. It’s been a fantastic start at Beaver and I am looking forward to the rest of the year!

2024-25 PRE-K INFORMATION: Pre-registration for PreK in the Henderson County School District will be Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 3:00-6:00 at Bargerton, Beaver, Pin Oak, Scotts Hill, South Haven, South Side, and Westover Elementary Schools. All children who will be four (4) years old on or before August 15, 2024, are eligible to register for PreK for the 2024-2025 school year. Once all qualifying students are placed, non-income eligible students will receive a notice informing them of their status after the beginning of school, per the VPK grant guidelines.
