Welcome to our Bargerton Family Mrs. Cecelia Jones!

Mrs. Jones graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2014 with a Bachelors degree in Flute Performance as well as holding two Masters degrees from the University of Memphis in Flute Performance and Music Education. As a musician, she has travelled around the world performing across the United States and Europe. She most recently has taught at Lexington Middle School for the past four years. She is very excited to work with the students of Henderson County.

Friends and families,
Help me welcome Mrs. Kassie Overman to BGS! We are thrilled to have her joining our team of teachers and family!
Hello Rebel Nation!
My name is Kassie Overman. I am excited to be joining the Rebel family. This will be my 16th year working in the Henderson County School System. I have taught at Beaver Elementary, and Westover Elementary. I am married to Shannon Overman (Mr. O), who teaches at South Haven. I have two kids, Addie and Wyatt. I also became a Lolli on July 17. Sweet Kohen Boone has become my world.
*Fun fact about my picture. This was taken on May 14. Before I knew I would be coming to Bargerton. I had stopped to get a picture of the double rainbow. If you look closely Bargerton is at the end of the rainbow.

Voluntary PreK (VPK) is an income-based program and first priority will go to those families that qualify. Completing the Henderson County PreK application packet does not necessarily guarantee enrollment in the PreK program. Non-income eligible students are placed on a waiting list once all paperwork is complete. Once all qualifying students are placed, non-income eligible students will receive notice informing them of their status after the beginning of school, per the VPK grant guidelines.

Are you interested in being a substitute teacher? Here is your opportunity!

Are you ready?!? We are prepared for a great new school year!!

She's certainly not a new face, but we are thrilled to tell you about her new role! Mrs. Chelsie Brantley will be teaching second grade this year!
My name is Chelsie Brantley. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Bethel University in Organizational Leadership and my Master's from Union University in Elementary Education. I have lived in Henderson Co. my entire life, and I have been married to my husband Phillip Brantley for 9 years. We have two wonderful children Danni who is 4 and Drew who is 4 months old. I am a Bargerton Alumni and excited to be teaching in the same school I attended. I am very excited to be teaching 2nd grade and pouring into these sweet students. It’s going to be a great year in 2nd grade, and I can’t wait to meet all of my students and families. It’s great to be a Rebel!!

BGS PTO will be accepting Care Closet Donations at our Back to School Event July 30, 2024 from 4-6pm.
