Mr. Raymond Henrie, a USMC Veteran and local pilot, came to visit the 6th graders to explain aviation and design of personal aircrafts. Mr. Ray explained how planes are designed, velocity and mass. He educated the students on the criteria needed to become a pilot. Mr. Henrie told about his Marine Corp days and some close calls he's had flying. The students then began constructing their own planes to test plane/flight designs using coke cans and recyclable materials.
